We previously heard rumors that Apple’s new iPhone 8 would come with wireless charging and now it looks like one of Apple’s manufacturing partners could have confirmed this.

According to a recent report by the Nikkei Asian Review, Wistron who is one of Apple’s manufacturing partners has confirmed that Apple’s new iPhone 8 will have wireless charging.

“Assembly process for the previous generations of [iPhones] have not changed much, though new features like waterproof and wireless charging now require some different testing, and waterproof function will alter the assembly process a bit,” [Robert] Hwang, [Wistron CEO], told reporters after the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting on Wednesday.

Apple’s new iPhone will come with an updated design that is said to be made up of a glass rear panel and a stainless steel chassis, the handset will also come with an almost bezel free display, we recently saw some photos of the front and back panels on the iPhone 8.

We are expecting three new iPhones from Apple this year, two will have an LCD display and with come in 4.7 and 5.5 inch sizes, these could be called the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus.

Apple’s iPhone 8 will come with an OLED display, the exact size of the display is not know as yet, although it is expected to be somewhere between 5 inches and 5.7 inches.

All three models of Apple’s new iPhone will feature a new Apple A11 processor and we are also expecting the three handsets to get more RAM than the current models.

Apple will also be introducing new cameras in this years iPhones and the iPhone 8 will come with a dual camera setup. All three models will come with the new version of Apple’s mobile OS, iOS 11 which was unveiled at WWDC earlier this month.

We are expecting Apple to announce their iPhone 8 in September and the handset is expected to go o n sale some time in September or early October.
