Apple’s latest smartphones, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have gone on sale in a number of countries, Australia was first to get the device, and the latest iPhones are now also available in the UK.
Apple stores in the UK started selling the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets at 8.00 AM, prices for the unlocked models start at £539 for the iPhone 6 and £619 for the iPhone 6 Plus.
The new iPhones come with a range of upgrades over the previous model, which include larger displays with higher resolutions, improved cameras, and faster processors.
Apple’s iPhone 6 launch is expected to be the companies biggest launch to date, we have already heard that Apple’s manufacturing partners are having trouble keeping up with demand, and this was before the handset launched.
Apple announced that they sold 4 million pre-orders of the iPhone 6 in the first 24 hours, and it looks like Apple could announce record sales of the device next week.
Demand for the handsets has been strong since they went up for pre-order last Friday, and Apple is showing shipping times of 3 to 4 weeks for most versions of both models.
If you are looking to get you hands on the new iPhone 6 handsets today, then the best place to get them is the Apple Store, some of the mobile carriers may also have them in stock.
