Apple’s new iPad Pro tablets are the company’s most expensive tablets to date with the 11 inch model costing between $799 and $1699 and the 12.9 inch model costing between $999 and $1,899.
It turns out that these new iPads are also the most expensive to repair if they are out of warranty or if you don’t have Apple Care.
Out of warranty repair costs on the new 11 inch iPad will set you back $499 and it is even more expensive on the 12.9 inch model with a repair cost of $649. Apple are still also offering the 10.5 inch iPad and this will set you back $449 for an out of warranty repair.
Apple is obviously hoping that these high prices will encourage people to pay for Apple Care+, this costs $129 and then you are charged a service fee of $49 when your device is repaired if it is accidental damage, the Apple Care lasts for two years from the date of Purchase.
