We have been hearing for quite some time that the iPad 3 would come with a high-resolution display, and high-resolution images have been discovered in some iOS applications previously, back in January 2010.
Yesterday Apple released their new iBooks 2 and now some new high-resolution images have appeared in iBooks 2, which are reported to be for the new iPad 3.
The images were discovered by Sonny Dickson, and you can see a comparison between the standard image and the high-resolution image below.
According to The Next Web, the images would display correctly on a 2048 x 1536 resolution display, this is the rumored resolution that we have been hearing about for the iPad 3.
