The second beta of iOS 12 has been released and now we have some speed test videos of iOS 12 Beta 2 vs iOS 11.4 .
In the videos of iOS 12 Beta 2 vs iOS 11.4 we get to see the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 tested with the new version of iOS 12, first up is the iPhone 5S.
As we can see in the video the iPhone 5S running the iOS 11.4 software boots up slightly faster than the handset with the new beta. There does appear to be some speed improvement in some of the apps in the new software, next is the iPhone 6.
With the iPhone 6, the handset running the the new iOS 12 beta 2 booted up faster than the device with iOS 11.4. There also appears to be some minor speed improvements in some of the apps with the iOS 12, next we have the iPhone 6S.
On the video with the iPhone 6S the handset running the iOS 11.4 software booted up faster than the handset with iOS 12 beta 2. There is some minor speed improvements in some of the apps, next we have the iPhone 7.
As we can see in the speed test of iOS 12 Beta 2 vs iOS 11.4 on the iPhone 7, the handset running the iOS 11.4 software booted up quicker. There are minor speed improvements with some apps, finally we have the iPhone 8.
The video with the iPhone 8 handsets shows that the device running the iOS 11.4 software boots up slightly faster. The two handsets seem very similar in the apps, although there are some that are slightly quicker with the new iOS 12 beta.
As this is only the second beta of iOS 12, we are expecting to see some speed improvements by the time the final version is released. Apple is focusing on performance and speed improvements with this update. We are expecting the software to be released some time in September or October with the new iPhone X handsets.
