Ideum have today unveiled details of their new MT-55 Platform multitouch table which they say is the largest and thinnest multitouch table currently available. The MT-55 is equipped with a 55″ 1920×1080 HD low-iron 5mm tempered glass surface display that has a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio multitouch screen with a wide 178-degree viewing angle.
Its been designed to allow multiple users to collaborate and use the table at the same time, supporting 32 simultaneous touch points and running Windows 7 64-bit professional edition. The table is powered by a Intel Hyper-Threaded DualCore i5 2.66 GHz, supported by 8GB of RAM, and a 128 GB solid-state drive and can be upgraded to an i7 processor if required. The MT-55 is also equipped with WIFI, Bluetooth, and Ethernet connectivity and has multiple HDMI ports together with USB 2.o ports positioned on the side and underneath the table.
The main table structure is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum and cold-rolled steel and the Ideum MT-55 multitouch table is now available to buy for around $18,000
