It looks like the Huawei Mate X folding smartphone could be about to launch. The handset was originally unveiled at Mobile World Congress back in February.
After the problems Samsung had with its folding smartphone, Huawei delayed the launch of theirs and not it could be landing some time soon.
The handset recently turned up at China’s TENAA which is basically the same as the FCC, this suggests the device could be launching soon.
As a reminder the Huawei Mate X will come with a 8 inch OLED display that features a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels, when the device is folded the main display measures 6.6 inches and it has a resolution of 2480 x 1148 pixels.
Other specifications on this folding smartphone include a Kirin 980 processor and a choice of 6GB, 8GB and 12GB of RAM. Storage options include 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. The device also comes with high end cameras.
The cameras on the Mate X will include one 40 megapixel camera, one 16 megapixel camera and one 8 megapixel camera. As soon as we get some details on the exact launch date, we will let you guys know.
