Huawei is not a new name when it comes to smartphones. They are quite popular in several markets across the globe, and have some decent handsets in their product portfolio.
We’ve heard in the past that Huawei plans to enter the US market with the Honor brand, and it seems we’re going to see it very soon. During the second year anniversary of Honor in Schenzen, China, Huawei’s George Zhao teased that the company will enter the US market with the official announcement being made at CES 2016 next month.
There’s no word about the list of smartphones the company plans to launch in the US, but it seems we may get to see the good looking Huawei Honor 7, Honor 6 Plus, etc. make their way to the US market.
We haven’t seen many Chinese companies enter the US market as its really competitive, however, the move can be a good one for Huawei. The Chinese firm has a decent market share in other global markets. The company has a presence in the US with the Google Nexus 6P, but it’s not as big as they want it to be.
Things may change in the future, so we’ll have to wait for the company to make an official announcement at CES 2016 next month. We’ll update you if we get to hear anything more about the company’s plans.
