Chinese hardware manufacturer Huawei has unveiled its new Apple Airpod style wireless earphones this week in the form of the new Huawei Freepods. The pocket-sized recharging case cannot only keep your earbuds fully charged but can also be used to wirelessly charge your smartphone when required acting as a handy backup battery.
Apple still seems to be floundering with wireless technology as we still wait for the giant to bring to market its wireless charging dock which is apparently still suffering from technical issues that need to be corrected before Apple can roll it out. In comparison the Huawei Freepods will be able to wirelessly charge the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro according to marketing material required by the WinFuture website.
Also when paired with the Mate 20 or Mate 20 Pro smartphones the Huawei Freepods can then be used to voice control Google Assistant. As more information is made available before or up to the rumoured official launch date expected to take place place on October 16th, 2018. We will keep you up to speed as always.
