We recently heard about an updated version of the Huawei Ascend P6, the device was the Ascend P6s which turned up in benchmarks, and now it would appear that we have some details on the company’s next generation handset, the Huawei Ascend P7.
According to GSM Arena, the Huawei Ascend P7 will launch in April 2014, and we also have some possible specifications for the device.
The Huawei Ascend P7 will apparently comes with a 5 inch full High Defintion display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it will be powered by a 1.6GHz quad core Balong 910 processor from HiSilicon and will feature 2GB of RAM.
Other specifications in the Huawei Ascend P7 will include 16GB of built in storage, plus a microSD card slot for expansion, the device will also feature high end cameras on the front and back.
On the front of the Huawei Ascend P7 there will be an 8 megapixel camera for video chat, on the back will be a 13 megapixel camera with auto focus and an LED flash.
The handset will also come with Android and Huawei’s EmotionUI 2.0, no details on the exact version of Android although we suspect it will be Android 4.4 Kit Kat.
Huawei have had success with their Ascend P6 smartphone, the handset is expected to sell 10 million units before the end of the year, and it will be interesting to see if the Ascend P7 becomes as popular.
