The folks at Mobile Syrup managed to get their hands-on a leaked internal document that states HTC One has reached its end of life (EOL) on Canada’s Bell.
The handset launched on the carrier back in April 2013, and is definitely one of the best Android devices available in the market.
HTC One is not a very old device that it reached its end of life so early on the Canadian carrier, so there are quite a few possibilities. As we’ve heard so many times before, HTC is working on the sequel of their 2013 flagship device that is expected to hit retail next month at a press event in New York City.
This should add more salt to the rumors circulating about the existence of the alleged HTC M8, which is expected to be the next flagship device of the company. Based on rumors, it will come with a 5-inch display with 1080p resolution, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with microSD card support, UltraPixel camera and Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6.0 UI pre-installed out of the box.
Additionally, the document also states two other devices which have reached the end of life on Bell, including Sony Xperia Z1 White and Samsung Galaxy SIII Blue. It makes sense for Bell to put an end to the Samsung Galaxy SIII, but Xperia Z1? The handset was launched at the IFA 2013 in Berlin, so does it mean that Sony is also prepping up a new flagship handset?
Let’s just take it with a pinch of salt, and see what the future holds for us. We’ll update you if any other information comes up.
