Owners of the HTC One M8 smartphone might be interested to know that the latest update to the Duo Cam technology now enables others to be able to refocus your photographs.
The Duo Cam technology now allows friends and family with access to your photographs to be able to tweak the focus of the image to suit whichever part of it they would like to see in more detail.
HTC included the Duo Cam technology on its flagship phone, which uses a secondary camera to support the rear facing camera when you capturing an image. The supporting camera has a lower resolution sensor and is slightly offset enabling you to capture a deeper depth of field within your M8 photographs.
The Duo Cam technology provides then provides users with a Lytro-style focus changing feature, that allows them to change the depth of field focusing on different items and locations within the photograph.
When the technology originally launched with the new HTC One M8 smartphone only the photographer was able to make alterations to the focusing. However now HTC have made it available to anyone who has access to the original photographs. Enabling them to tweak the focus and change the image to suit their purposes with access to the UFocus, Foregrounder, and Dimension Plus effects.
The HTC gallery application is now available to download from the Google Play store for free and provides a range of fast and easy ways to locate your photos.
