Residents of the United Kingdom patiently waiting to get their hands on the new HP Chromebook x2, will be pleased to know that it is now available to purchase directly from the Google Chromebook store with prices starting from £600. The HP Chromebook x2 is equipped with a magnetic hinge that allows you to quickly transform the tablet to a laptop using the removable keyboard, but unfortunately it does not offer backlit keys.
Support is also provided for stylus input and the Chromebook x2 is equipped with a 12.3” Quad HD touchscreen display protected by Gorilla Glass. “With its modern, matte cover and white ceramic-like finish, the HP Chromebook x2 was born to turn heads. And it comes with a 5mp front-facing camera and 13mp camera on the back, so you can create from anywhere.”
Hardware specifications include a 7th Gen Intel Core processor with up to 32GB of built-in storage, Micro SD expansion to 256GB, and 100GB of Google Drive space. The rechargeable internal battery is capable of providing up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge and the system allows connection to the Google Play Store enabling you to load and run all your favourite applications.
Other features of the HP Chromebook x2 include two USB Type-C ports for fast charging, together with dual speakers, custom-tuned by B&O Play.
