Michael Hamilton has created a new remote home monitor called HomeTraq which he has designed to monitor temperature, humidity as well as the security system in your home.
The HomeTraq has been designed to be easy to install and only requires you to plug the device into a power source which can either be provided by USB or via a 10V / 230V AC adapter. Watch the video below to learn more about the features of the HomeTraq and how they can help you monitor your home while away.
The HomeTraq project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise $15,000 in pledges. Hamilton explains a little more :
“HomeTraq is a device that monitors temperature, humidity and sound. If it detects that one of these things are out of a specified range then it will send you either a SMS text or email alert. No existing phone line or internet connection is required at the monitored location.
The device is smart enough to distinguish between a loud noise like a thunderstorm and a real siren from your alarm system. This will prevent sending false alerts.
For more advanced users, you can use the app on your phone or computer to change the point at which alerts are generated. You can even configure the device to alert based on a specific type of sound. You will also have the ability to change which months you want to turn ON the monitoring.”
So if you think HomeTraq is something you could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help HomeTraq become a reality.
