Designer Sepideh Pourhang has taken to Kickstarter once again to launch a new desktop toy in the form of the VOID Heptagon design to help you focus and meditate more easily. The mathematical solid of constant width moves in circular movements and is constructed from solid high quality metals. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about what you can expect from the Heptagon.
Early bird pledges are available from $19 or roughly £15 and worldwide shipping is expected to take place during March 2019. Constructed using 304 stainless steel, brass and copper backers can choose from three different finishes satin, machine or mirror polish. Sepideh explains more about the inspiration behind the latest Kickstarter campaign.
“We started with Luminati Hexagon, our previous ordinary project with awesome backers and now we want to draw your attention to our new product, “Heptagon”. Heptagon was inspired from Luminati, which is a 3D hexangular. It is absolutely an aesthetic object for designers, artists and math lovers.
Heptagon will be CNC machined from solid bars of copper, brass and stainless steel. We want to provide you with the best finishes and quality; so, we are just using solid bars. All the Heptagons are in the same size, but you can choose the finish you like. You can choose Machine, Mirror polish and Satin on solid copper, brass and stainless steel. The satin finish is just like the metal finish, it is not shiny and reflective, hides fingerprints nicely. The mirror polish is obviously reflective as a mirror, you may use it as a pocket mirror. The machine finish looks mate and brushed, but it is actually a precisely machined surface. Personally, I prefer machine finish, because it will reflect chromatic light into its fractions, which shows a rainbow.”
