This is one of the coolest RC gadgets I have seen in a long time. The flying machine is a 9.5′ wingspan replica of a bald eagle. The flying machine looks like one of those 3D kites to me with an electric engine strapped to its back.
The eagle measures 46″ L x 9.5″ W x 19″ H and weighs about 1.5 pounds. It ships with a wireless remote that is good for a range of about 100-feet and it has trim controls. The trim controls are there to allow you to make adjustments for level flight.
The engine is on the back of the bird and uses thrust vectoring to control which way the eagle flies. The battery is only good for eight minutes per charge and a charge takes 20 minutes. The other downside is that it costs $499.95.
