Microsoft [MSFT] has announced that the latest game in the Halo saga, Halo Reach seems to be popular amongst gaming fans, as sales of Halo Reach on the first day are over $200 million.
Halo Reach could end up outselling Halo 3 which made Microsoft $600 million, and made a total of $300 million in the first week, so Halo Reach selling $200 million on the first day certainly is impressive.
Halo Reach is built on a completely new game engine, and it features new weapons, armor and game play modes, there is also an updated map making tool for multiplayer games called Forge Worlds that lets you create custom maps.
It will be interesting to see what the sales figures for Halo reach are after the first week, it could well be ahead of Halo 3 sales figures.
