Travellers searching for a safe way to charge their expensive electronic equipment may be interested in the world’s first resettable grounded travel adapter. Equipped with USB-C PD fast charging technology and takes the form of the Passport Pro created by Zendure. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about its unique design and safety features to keep your smartphones, laptops and mobile devices safe when travelling and charging.
“Many travel adaptors on the market are designed with single-use fuses to protect electronics from power surges and overloads, but replacing them and lugging spares around can be a hassle. To combat this annoyance, Zendure launched Passport in 2017, which was the world’s first travel adaptor with an auto-resetting fuse. Thanks to its revolutionary innovation and beautiful industrial design, it won the Good Design Award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design“.
Passport Pro Is now available to back via Kickstarter with earlybird pledges available from $35 or £27. If all goes well and the Kickstarter campaign a successful and manufacturing progresses smoothly, backers can expect worldwide delivery to take place during October 2018. “It’s the first time that a resettable circuit breaker has been introduced into a travel adaptor. Why has no other product been able to do this? Because traditional circuit breakers are too big and too expensive for travel adaptors. “
