If you fancy using your iPhone for something a little more interesting than just making phone calls and listening to media. Griffin have the perfect solution with their Griffin TC Helo RC helicopter that’s controlled using a custom iPhone application and transmitter adapter.
The Griffin TC Helo helicopter is equipped with twin rotors fitted to an aluminium frame and finished with a black polycarbonate body, and charges via a USB connection. Your iPhone is then used to control the RC helicopter using an infrared transmitter which plugs into the headphone jack of your iPhone.
The transmitter is powered by 2 x AA batteries and provides two methods to controlling your helicopter, by either touching the screen controls or by using the iPhones built-in accelerometers. On a full charge the helicopter is capable of flying for around 8 minutes using its 3.7V @ 180 mAh battery.
If you can’t resist its now available from the Griffin website for $50.
