Back at the beginning of last year Google unveiled its new Google Project Tango mobile hardware that was capable of sensing 3D and creating digital representations of a users surrounding environment.
The “advanced vision capabilities” that Google included in the mobile hardware had been created to provide developers with functions that could enhance almost any application. Watch the video below to learn more about the very unique Google Project Tango technology Google has been developing.
Google has now made the Project Tango hardware available to all from its online store, after only making it available via invitation only previously. But Google explains that the hardware is intended for developers and not for consumer use. Google wrote in an email to invited buyers : “we’re opening up sales more broadly, so now is the last chance to buy the device we’ve reserved for you.”
If you are looking to develop 3D applications or those that require sensors, purchase your very own Google Project tango tablet by jumping over to the Google Play Store in the US where it is currently listed priced at $512.
