Google recently launched their new mobile service, Google Project Fi and now some more details have been revealed about the service.
Google recently started sending out invitations to their new Project Fi service and these invites have revealed that not all of the Google Voice features will work with Google’s new carrier service.
You will be able to port your Google Voice number over to Project Fi, although if you do this some features will not work.
Some of the features that will not work when you transfer you number over will include the ability to use Google Voice for texting and voice mail and your text, call history and voicemail will no longer be saved in Voice.
Google’s Project Fi will automatically switch your between WiFi and two mobile carriers in the US, which includes T-Mobile and Sprint to give you the best coverage.
