We have heard a number if rumors about the new Google Nexus 8 over the last few months, and have previously heard that this new Android tablet would be made by LG, although the device turned out to be a Google Play Edition LG G Pad.
Now according to a recent report, Asus may be the manufacturer that makes the Google Nexus 8, the company already makes the current Nexus 7 tablet for Google.
Now according to a recent report by Digitimes, Asus will be the manufacturer of choice for the Google Nexus 8 and the device is rumored to launch around the middle of 2014.
The sources pointed out that Google’s Nexus 8 reportedly may adopt Intel’s Bay Trail-T platform, but Qualcomm is still striving for related orders. As for Google’s R&D partner for the new Nexus 8, Asustek Computer is currently having the best chance.
Because Asustek has already established a close relationship with Google and has advantages in product design and component purchasing, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and Lenovo are unlikely to be able to take the orders away easily. More Nexus 8 details are expected to be revealed after February, the sources added.
As yet we do not actually have any specifications on the new Google Nexus 8, as soon as we get some more details we will let you guys know.
