Google has updated their Google Latitude iPhone app and the latest version now includes the check in feature that we saw added to the Android version of the app back in February.
The new updated version of Latitude for the iPhone will let you see where your friends are on a map and also let you share your location with your friends, and you can also choose to check in to specific places, like you favourite restaurant.
To start checking in with Latitude on your iPhone, update the Latitude app from the App Store. The app requires iOS 4 and above, and it’s available for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, and iPod touch (3rd/4th generation). However, background location updating is only available on the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPad 3G.
