Ahead of the highly anticipated Google press event that will be taking place on October 9th, 2018, details of a 7-inch Google Home Hub smart display and speaker have been leaked. This innovative device could be priced at around $149. Although no official details have been released by Google yet, it is speculated to measure 7 x 4.7 x 2.7 inches in size and will support connectivity via both Bluetooth and 802.11ac wireless.
Design and Aesthetic
The My Smart Price website explains a little more about the device they discovered via screenshots of the official product specifications page. “While not nearly as large as the Google Home Max, the square-ish shape of the Google Home Hub is reminiscent of its larger screen-less cousin. Also, the device carries over a similar Chalk White aesthetic as that of all other Google smart speakers. The specifications page even confirms that there will be a Charcoal variant, in addition to the aforementioned white model.”
The design of the Google Home Hub is both functional and stylish, fitting seamlessly into any modern home decor. The compact size makes it ideal for placement in various locations around the house, such as the kitchen counter, bedside table, or living room shelf. The inclusion of both Chalk White and Charcoal variants ensures that users can choose a color that best matches their personal style and home environment.
Features and Functionality
The Google Home Hub is expected to offer a range of features that make it a versatile addition to any smart home setup. With its 7-inch display, users can easily view information at a glance, such as weather updates, calendar events, and reminders. The display also allows for visual interaction with Google Assistant, providing a more immersive and interactive experience compared to voice-only devices.
In addition to its display capabilities, the Google Home Hub is likely to support a variety of smart home functions. Users can control compatible smart home devices, such as lights, thermostats, and security cameras, directly from the Hub. This integration with other smart home products makes the Google Home Hub a central hub for managing and automating various aspects of the home.
The device’s Bluetooth and 802.11ac wireless connectivity ensure that it can easily connect to other devices and networks, providing a seamless user experience. Whether streaming music, making video calls, or accessing online content, the Google Home Hub is designed to deliver reliable performance and convenience.
Moreover, the Google Home Hub is expected to include advanced voice recognition technology, allowing it to accurately understand and respond to user commands. This feature is particularly useful in busy households where multiple people may be interacting with the device simultaneously. The Hub’s ability to recognize different voices and provide personalized responses enhances its functionality and user-friendliness.
