Google has this week released a new Google Glass update for its next generation computer-controlled eyewear which brings with it a number of new features and enhancements.
The latest Google Glass update has been released in the form of the XE8 which has added a video player to the feature list of Google Glass together with new actions, additional notifications, and other improvements.
The new Google Glass video player now allows users to watch movies and clips directly in the display in front of their right eye. However do remember that the battery of the Google Glass eyewear might not allow you to watch a full length movie.
Another handy addition for Evernote users is a new feature that now allows you to save notes directly to Evernote, as well as posting updates to Path, volume adjustment and more. Google explains:
“Google Glass can remind you of hotel and restaurant reservations by the confirmations sent to your Gmail account. If you bought tickets to an event, like a concert, you’ll also be reminded of it nearer to showtime. Ensure these cards appear by enabling the Gmail card in your Google Now settings.”
To re-cap the Google Glass eyewear is fitted with a high resolution display which gives you the equivalent display of a 25 inch HD display from eight feet away and is positioned just in front of your right eye.
Google Glass is also equipped with a 5 megapixel camera that can record HD video in 720P, together with 12GB of internal storage for apps, files and media that is synced with Google’s Cloud Storage, as well as connectivity provided by with Bluetooth and WiFi.
