GMC has a cool concept truck that will be on display all winter season at Vail Mountain in Vail, Colorado. The truck started life as you average 2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali. It then ditched those boring wheels and tires for a tank tread at each corner.
The treads are Mattracks 150 series tracks with a GMC red finish. Power comes from a standard 6.6L Duramax turbo diesel engine making 445hp and 910 lb-ft of torque. That power goes to all four treads via an Allison 1000 6-speed automatic transmission.
The treads allow the concept to navigate all the snow conditions that Vail has all-winter long. Other than fancy tank tires, the truck also has snowboard racks, bodyside graphics, LED lighting in the wheel wells and underbody, and a soft tonneau cover.
