Last week we told you that Fusion Garage would be showing off their handheld web tablet, which was formerly the CrunchPad that was being developed by Fusion Garage and Tech Crunch, the tablet is now called the JooJoo.
As we said before we can expect this to end up in legal action between Tech Crunch and Fusion Garage, anyway lets focus on the details that were released yesterday about the JooJoo.
The JooJoo features a 12.1 inch capacitive touchscreen display, and it weighs in at 2.4lbs and it will boot up in 9 seconds, which is pretty fast, so you are ready to surf the web right away, there is also a built in accelerometer.
The JooJoo runs on a custom OS that was developed by Fusion Garage, the OS will boot directly to the home screen which contains icons with direct links to a range of sites, like YouTube, Gmail, Twitter, Facebook and lots more.
It also has a number of ports which include a USB port, a microphone port and a headphone port, and it supports Flash so you can play HD videos from YouTube.
The JooJoo tablet will be available to pre-order from Friday the 11th of December for $499, which is quite a bit more than what the original CrunchPad was supposed to retail for.
It will be interesting to see how well it does, but I suspect without the Tech Crunch name behind it, the JooJoo wont do as well as Fusion Garage thinks it will.
