Foxconn first unveiled their new Nano PC format back in May with the introduction of the Intel-equipped AT-5300 and the AMD-equipped AT-5600. Now, Foxconn has expanded their Nano PC range with the addition of the AT-5250 and has made the AT-5600 official.
The AT-5600 will continue to be equipped with AMD’s E450 APU, a dual-core processor that offers a balance of performance and power efficiency, making it suitable for a variety of everyday computing tasks. On the other hand, the new AT-5250 will be equipped with an Intel Atom D2550 processor clocked at 1.86 GHz. This processor is designed to handle basic computing needs and is supported by up to 4GB of memory, ensuring smooth multitasking and efficient performance for light to moderate usage.
Comprehensive Connectivity Options
Other features of the two Nano PCs include a variety of connectivity options to cater to different user needs. Both models come with 2 x USB 3.0 ports, which offer faster data transfer speeds compared to USB 2.0, making them ideal for transferring large files or connecting high-speed peripherals. Additionally, there are 4 x USB 2.0 ports for connecting a range of other devices such as keyboards, mice, and external storage.
For those who need to read memory cards, the Nano PCs include a 1 x SD/SDHC/MS/MS Pro/MMC card reader, providing compatibility with a wide range of memory card formats. This feature is particularly useful for photographers and videographers who need to quickly transfer media from their cameras to their PCs.
High-Definition Multimedia and Wireless Connectivity
Both the AT-5600 and AT-5250 come with 1 x HDMI port, allowing users to connect their Nano PCs to high-definition displays or TVs. This makes them suitable for use as media centers, enabling users to stream movies, play games, or display presentations in high definition. The inclusion of 802.11n Wi-Fi ensures that users can connect to wireless networks with ease, providing fast and reliable internet access for browsing, streaming, and downloading.
All these features are packed into a compact case measuring just 19 x 13.5 x 3.8 cm and weighing only 600g. This small form factor makes the Nano PCs highly portable and easy to integrate into any workspace or home entertainment setup without taking up much space.
Foxconn will be showcasing their AT-5600 and AT-5250 Nano PC range at this year’s CIS in September. This event will provide an opportunity for attendees to get a firsthand look at the new models and their capabilities. Following the event, the Nano PCs will be available for purchase, with the AT-5600 priced at $280 and the AT-5250 at $260.
These new additions to Foxconn’s Nano PC lineup demonstrate the company’s commitment to providing versatile and compact computing solutions that cater to a wide range of user needs. Whether you need a powerful media center, a reliable office PC, or a portable computing solution, the AT-5600 and AT-5250 offer a compelling combination of performance, connectivity, and portability.
