Even though the new iPad 2 is lighter than Apple’s first generation iPad. It can sometimes become a little uncomfortable to hold the device for extended periods of time.

The Flote is a machined-metal floor stand designed to securely hold a wide variety of tablets like the iPad or e-readers like Amazon’s new Kindle range in virtually any position complete hands free.
The Flote is currently starting its journey over on the Kickstarter website hoping to make the jump from production, and requires a little funding, which pledges starting from $245 for a complete Flote stand.
