Amazon has released an update for their first generation Kindle Paperwhite, and the update brings some of the features of the second generation device to the original Paperwhite.
Some of the new features included in the update include Kindle FreeTime, which lest you create personalized profile for children, and then let them have access to specific titles.
We have a new, free software update available for your Kindle Paperwhite 1st Generation. This update automatically downloads and installs on your Kindle Paperwhite when connected wirelessly; however, you can also manually download the software and transfer the update to your device via USB cable.
Goodreads for Kindle is also included in the update, as well as Cloud Collection, Page Flip, Enhanced Bookmarks, Smartlookup, Inline Footnotes and more.
