Epson and E Ink have combined their technology to created a new ePaper with a 300-dpi electronic paper device providing razor-sharp text and images for ePaper Document Readers.
The new ePaper combines E Ink’s high-resolution ePaper display and Epson’s high-speed display controller platform and has created a ePaper display that’s sized at 9.68 inches and boasts 2,400 x 1,650/300 dpi quality. Currently the Kindle in comparison has only a 1,200 x 824 pixel resolution at 150 ppi.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but as soon as it becomes available we will let you know. But if you are interested in the new ePaper the jointly developed device is currently on display at the E Ink booth at SID, in Los Angeles from May 15 to 20.
