Audio hardware and speaker manufacturer Edifier has announced the addition of a new Bookshelf Speaker to its range in the form of the Edifier R1850DB 2.0. The new desktop speaker has been designed with an angled base which has been set to 10 degrees to accurately direct sound at you.
The wooden housing reduces distortion and minimises acoustic resonance and the included he subwoofer produces a “quality atmosphere” says Edifier, when combined with the 4.5-inch midrange woofer speaker driver creating rich lows. While the treble units in the speaker produce clear highs, making the R1850DB a “perfectly tuned and balanced bookshelf speaker”.
Equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 technology the speakers can be paired to any Bluetooth device and can be paired with multiple devices. The speakers are also fitted with a digital, analog and RCA inputs for PCs, turntables and more. “The R1850DB comes with a fully featured remote so you can adjust the volume, switch inputs, mute the speakers and control the Bluetooth playback from your fingertips. The remote has been designed so that it fits neatly in your hand for ultimate comfort. A wireless remote control is also provided which allows you to remotely control the input selection, make volume adjustments or track control.” The Edifier R1850DB 2.0 is now available to purchase from online retailers such as Amazon priced at £160 or $199
