Developers and makers that looking for a small Linux based wireless development board might be interested in a new device that has launched over on the Indiegogo crowd funding website in the form of the DPT board.
The DPT board has been created to provide your electronic projects with both wireless and Ethernet connectivity without the need for any difficult programming to be undertaken. Watch the video after the jump to learn more from its creators and how it might be able to help add extra functionality to your future projects.
The DPT board is equipped with 16MiB flash, 64MiB DDR2 RAM memory and includes a built in WiFi antenna all contained in a 4 layer PCB with impedance matching. Its father and son creators explain a little more:
“A good development platform requires not only decent quality hardware. Equally as important is easy to use software. We are doing our best to get these two components as good as possible.
On top of root access to the Linux console we are also writing an easy to use HTML5 based interface to control all of the IO ports and board settings. Just build your projects and use the GUI to control them. No programming is needed to make a WiFi controlled lamp, a WiFi spy car, etc… Just let your creativity on the loose!”
For more information on the new DPT board development board jump over to the Indiegogo website for details and to make a pledge to be one of the first to receive one of the production line.
