Want to guess where it’s currently selling? More on that later. Seen below is an outdated cellphone model resurrected in a bulky new case. The aesthetic we’re looking at here is dubbed ‘Neovictorian’ or steampunk if you want to push it. An awfully styling cell like this puts most of those 80s monstrosities to shame. And smartphones? Pfttt. In the apocalyptic wastes of tomorrow, gadgets like this are essential.
The phone used for this particular build is a Sagem X5m. To be honest we’ve never heard or read of the model until now. It does have a dual language capability, however: English and German. The phone above comes with a charger and has absolutely none of the features of its smartphone descendants.
Didn’t we mention the look of it is reminiscent of Fallout 3? It is. Unwieldy, bad ergonomics, doesn’t fit inside a pocket and with no sexy features. It’s a beast, for sure. It can even be an infernal product of a harsh post-technological society who subsist on mutant meat and electronic scraps.
But there seems to be a market for such abominations as this. No wonder the creator was confident enough to sell it for a steep $350. Ah yes, the creator. It’s this Polish guy named J. Redmer. Inventive chap, he is.
Where is it selling? Where else? . There’s additional shipping costs too depending on the buyer’s location.
