A new DIY biometric Arduino project has been published to the Arduino blog, Instructables and Thingiverse website this month providing full instructions on how to create your very own biometric locking lockbox. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about this cool folder which can be used to keep your secrets out of prying eyes.
The Arduino biometric lock box is equipped with an infrared sensor which checks to see if the door is closed, a series of programmable LEDs also provide visible feedback when the lockbox is being opened. The Arduino Nano Develop on board has been programmed to communicate with a Servo and Fingerprint Sensor. The Fingerprint sensor is preprogrammed with a library of Fingerprints that you want to be able to unlock the Diary Door.
