Denon has this week taken the wraps off new additions added to its range of Airplay speaker docks, in the form of the Denon Cocoons, which are available as the Cocoon Home for $600 or the Cocoon Portable for $500.
Both models are fitted with integrated iPhone/iPod docks that pop out of the front of the speakers, and are equipped with full Apple Airplay support.
The new Denon Cocoon Home speaker dock pumps out 100 watts of audio power via 25 watt per driver, bi-amped. Compared to the smaller Portable Cocoon which pumps out half at 50 watts of power, using 2 x full-range drivers which have been specially tuned for outdoor usage, says Denon.
The Portable speaker dock is also fitted with a rechargeable battery capable of providing 5 hours of playback. Denon says that both speaker docks will be arriving in stores during the summer months. For more information on both the Cocoon Home and Cocoon Portable jump over to the Denon website.
