Earlier this month, Dell unveiled a wide range of tablets including Venue 7, Venue 8 and Venue 8 Pro along with a new XPS laptops lineup. On Friday, Dell started selling the Venue 8 Pro tablet along with the other Venue tablets and the refreshed XPS 15 laptop online.
The Venue 8 Pro Windows 8.1 tablet comes with a $299 price tag. For just $299. The tablet features a 8-inch IPS display sporting a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The tablet is powered by Intel Atom quad-core processor Z3740D with a speed of up to 1.8GHz, 2GB RAM, 32GB flash drive and runs Windows 8.1 on top of it. The tablet comes with a 5 megapixel back camera and 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera. In addition, the tablet can be paired with Dell Active Stylus that costs $34.99. The online store shows an expected shipment date of October 25th if you pre-order your device now. Meanwhile, Dell Venue Pro 11 is expected to hit the shelves in November, a device that can be considered a competitor for the Surface tablets.
Additionally, the affordable Venue 7 and Venue 8 Android-based tablets also went on sales starting at $149.99 and $179.99, respectively.
The latest Dell XPS 15 powerhouse laptop also went on sale, starting with a whopping $1,499 price tag and even a higher $1,900 for the QHD+ version, but the laptop does bring some solid hardware specifications. The new Dell XPS 15 comes with a 15.6-inch display QHD+ boasting a resolution of 3200 x 1800, Intel’s latest Haswell processor, up to a core i7 CPU, Intel HD 4400 graphics, up to 16GB RAM and 500GB 7200 rpm SATA Hard Drive and more.
