Yesterday we reported on the apparent problems many users where experiencing after downloading the recently launched new game Dead Island. After a little digging around a number of gamers discovered that either the development version of the game had been uploaded to Steam or even an Xbox 360 copy of the game by mistake.
Today developer Techland and publisher Deep Silver have corrected the problem and the download is now the intended software the companies hoped you would play on launch.
Unfortunately though if you have already tried to play the game using the old buggy version, any saves you might have made will no longer function and will be wiped when you download the new version of Dead Island.
The new Dead Island game is available to purchase for £29.99 from Steam.
