The part of Texas I am from rarely gets very cold in the winter. If we stay below freezing for more than a few weeks, it’s a cold winter. That means we get by with normal heat and fireplaces so radiators are rare in the south. I have seen plenty of them on TV and in movies though and they aren’t pretty.
A new radiator has been designed by 5.5 Designers for a company called Saazs in France. The name of the awesome radiator translates from French as Hot Matters. The radiator is clear and looks like a pane of glass. It has a thin layer of metal inside the glass that puts off infrared heat when electricity is passed through it.
The radiator can heat a room and be nearly invisible when doing it. The thing looks more like a sculpture than a heater to me. The radiator will hit stores eventually for $3,640. I’m honestly not sure if that is a lot of money for a radiator or not.
