Recently, a report suggested Supercell, the developer behind the popular strategy game Clash of Clans is making a whopping $654k per day from just the game.
According to a new report from Reuters, the Finnish game maker, Supercell earned $892 million in revenues in the last fiscal year, ending December 2013.
The developer is behind the two popular games known as Clash of Clans and Hay Day which managed to top the charts in several countries around the globe. The games launched on the Apple App Store at first, and were later introduced in the Google Play Store last year as well. Unfortunately, the developer has no plans as of now to introduce the popular titles on Windows Phone, so this might come as a disappointing news for those who are waiting for the games to hit Microsoft’s operating system.
In addition, the developer said they are working on a new game title dubbed as Boom Beach, which will hit the devices in March, and is currently under the development stage. The company also announced their earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization grew to $464 million from $51 million in 2011, and a loss in 2010 — the year when Supercell came into being.
Last October, the company announced Japan’s Softbank Corp has bought 51 percent stake in the developer for 150 billion yen, which is almost equal to a mind-boggling $3 billion dollar.
