Cisco have unveiled details of their new Dual-Band Wireless Entertainment Bridge this week, which has been designed to aid you connect all your home entertainment gear to your wireless network with the minimum of fuss.
The new Wireless Entertainment Bridge is equipped with a three-antenna bridge that supports Wireless-N on both 2.4 or 5 GHz to minimise interference issues with other Wi-Fi devices. There is a 4 port 10/100 Fast Ethernet switch to which you attach your entertainment gear, that could include your: Xbox 360, PS3, Slingbox, Roku, Boxee or anything else you might have that requires an Internet connection to function.
The new Cisco Dual-Band Wireless Entertainment Bridge (WES610N) is available in either a single port model for $99 or as a 4 port version pictured above for $129. The Bridge will provide your devices with up to 300 Mbps of bandwidth and comes with QoS software to help you prioritise video and gaming traffic so both are smooth and glitch free.
