We dont cover many motorcyles here on Geeky Gadgets but I thought this $96,000 Carbon Fiber Renard GT was worth a mention.
In the past motorcycle carbon fiber frames have been difficult to manufacture, however Renard Motorcycles has now mastered the process and created a carbon-fiber and Kevlar monocoque chassis.
The Carbon Fiber Renard GT chassis weighs just 11kg and incorporates the airbox and fuel tank. To keep the weight low other than the Moto Guzzi 1200cc Quattrovalvole v-twin engine, are all CNC milled from a solid aircraft quality aluminum.
The Renard’s 1200cc engine produces approximately 130 hp at 8000 rpm while peak torque of 120 Nm happens at 6000 rpm.
