Canon has announced the successor to its popular G11 point and shoot compact camera, the Canon G12. The Canon G12 comes with a range of new features over the previous version which include HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode.
Hardware wise the Canon G12 features a 2.8 inch vari-angle LCD display with 461,000 dots of resolution, a 5x optical zoom lens with optical image stabillization.
The Canon Powershot G12 is capable of recording HD video in 720p, and it features a 10 megapixel High Sensitivity CCD sensor, and also features Canon’s HS System which is designed to enhance image quality.
The Canon Powershot G12 will go on sale in October for $500.
