An interesting infographic has been put together by Cisco showing how “the Internet of Things” has grown in size since 2003. Back then the number of people on the earth greatly out weighed the number of devices connected to the Internet. However in 2008 those numbers flipped and the number of things connected to the Internet exceed the number of people on earth for the first time.

The infographic after the jump provides a visual representation of the increase in “things” connected to the Internet.
