I can certainly understand why people would want to go with a pre-paid mobile service rather than a service that locks you into a contract. That way you can leave if the service sucks without paying out the nose. Boost Mobile is one of the bigger pre-paid firms out there and has a new handset coming soon.
The new handset is called the Samsung Seek. Boost says that the device is its first touchscreen phone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard as well. The handset will be in Boost retailers and online on August 25 for $149.99.
For that, much loot you get a 2.6-inch QVGA screen and a 1.3MP camera. The phone can also access the wireless internet and get email. A full suite of text, picture and IM options are offered as well. The device has a microSD card slot for up to 32GB cards and is GPS enabled.
