A new and very innovative TEO Padlock created by OckCorp, has started its crowd funding campaign over on the Kickstarter website looking to raise $165,000 to make the jump from concept in to production.

The TEO Padlock is the very first padlock that has been designed to be unlocked, locked via a smartphone, as well as share access with other contacts or friends and family. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the TEO Padlock project and see it in action.

Teo Padlock

Using your smartphone TEO Padlock lets you send permissions to a number friends and family enabling them to open and close the TEO Padlock with their devices, with different levels of access available. For example:

“Your employee Amanda is showing your clients four properties around town. But you have 20 properties and the keys all look the same. With TEO, you can give Amanda access to those four properties for an hour, for a day or for a week – right from your desk. She can have access one time or all the time. Giving you more time to get more clients. Now that’s taking care of business!”

TEO Padlock

“We all have padlocks in our lives. On our bikes, on our sheds, on our lockers at school and at the gym. All these padlocks need to be opened and closed when you want and by who you want. With TEO, your smartphone or other Bluetooth enabled device IS the key. With just a touch of the TEO app on your smartphone, TEO unlocks. Touch the app again. It’s locked. All your keys on one app on your phone. Your life is already getting simpler.”

The TEO Padlock project is currently over on the Kickstarter website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to production. So if you think TEO Padlock is something you could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help TEO Padlock become a reality.
