Snowboarders searching for a way to add a little bling to their boards during the night might be interested in a new lighting system which can be easily added to your snowboard to light up your ride in real time using a “specially engineered” system of LED lights. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the new snowboard accessory which is taken to Kickstarter this week to raise the required $100,000 needed to take the concept into production.
The Blizzard LED snowboard lighting system fits all types and sizes of snowboards and features a unique adhesive layer that can be easily attached and detached when required. The LEDs are controlled via a smartphone companion application which is supported by both Android and iOS devices. Each LED on the lighting system is good for over 50,000 hours of lighting and can be used for up to 12 hours on a single charge.
Equipped with an anti-shock system built-in, the LED system comes with more than 50 lighting modes to choose from. “When you’re out boarding the biggest mountains, or even the little hills right up the street from your house, you want everything to look perfect. Whether you are making a highlight reel of your best stunts or going for a joy ride, it is important to strike the right look. BlizzardLed is an accessory designed to light up your ride in real time using a specially engineered system of LED lights. Finally, your rides can appear as awesome as they feel.”
The snowboard lighting system is now available to early bird backers from $149 or just over £100 and is expected to start rolling out to backers worldwide during December 2018, if the Kickstarter campaign is successful.
