Biotar 2.0 58 f2 Lens Features

Building on previous lens designs the team of “world-class” engineers and manufacturers have once again combined their talents to create the Bokeh Biotar 58/2.0 camera lens which is now available from $949.

Watch the video below to learn more about this 17 aperture blade lens which is being created by Oprema Optik in the US and has this month launched via Indiegogo and already raised over $81,000.

After the reincarnation of the historic Biotar 75mm, Oprema is following the request of many supporters and returns its “little brother”, the Biotar 58. Reengineered to its true historic 17 aperture blade version it will change how you feel about photography. With its unique design the Biotar 58 balances the need for sharpness and bokeh in one lens like no other. It is truly an enchanting miracle bokeh wonder lens for all your photographic situations.

Though we knew about the Biotar’s legendary reputation from working on our new Biotar 75, the first time we held our Biotar 58 prototype in our hands, we immediately fell in love. It produces absolute sharpness and a flattering bokeh in any situation. The famous #BiotarBokeh was just breathtaking not the least due to a technical masterpiece using 17 aperture blades.

Immediately it was clear, that would not only bring back the Biotar 75, but also the Biotar 58. Thus that wonderful lens family returns altogether, updated and adapted for the needs of modern photography. So, we are very proud to present our first working prototype of the Biotar 58mm along with the Biotar 75mm to you.

Visit the official Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign page for full details and all available pledges, which start from $949 for super early bird backers with shipping expected to take place during September 2018.
