EA has today officially announced the highly anticipated Battlefield Hardline release date revealing that the new game will be available within the US on March 17th, 2015 and a couple of days later on March 19th throughout Europe.
As some of you will probably remember the original release date was pencilled in for some time this month but unfortunately the game’s developer Visceral postponed its launch into next year.
The announcement revealing the Battlefield Hardline release dates was part of EA’s fiscal 2014 Q2 financial results, that also revealed the company recorded a revenue of $1.22 billion for the last quarter on last year’s revenue which was recorded at $1.04 billion.
The increase in earnings has been thanks to a selection of games the company has published for the next-generation PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles and include titles such as Titanfall, Battlefield 4, FIFA 15, NHL 15, Madden NFL 15, and EA Sports UFC.
“Electronic Arts continues to put our players first, delivering new experiences, innovation and new ways to play,” said Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson. “It was an excellent second quarter, with strong new titles, deep player engagement in our live services and ongoing digital growth driving continued momentum.”
When Battlefield Hardline officially launched next year the game will be available to play on both next-generation and older generation PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as well as being available on PC.
The plot of the game that players will be able to enjoy revolves around Nick Mendoza, a S.W.A.T. officer who is involved in criminal activity. The Rescue Multiplayer Mode shows how the S.W.A.T. team must try to save hostages from the criminals within Battlefield Hardline.
