Barnes & Noble are holding a press event next week when they are expected to announce a new Nook Color, and now the guys over at Engadget have managed to get their hands on some details of a new Nook Tablet which will be announced next week.
According to the report, the Nook Tablet will look very similar to the existing Nook Color (pictured below) and it will come with a 7 inch VividView IPS color touch screen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, plus a dual core 1.2GHz OMAP4 processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot.
Other specifications include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, and a battery which will last up to 8 hours, and it looks like it will retail for $249.99, $50 more than the Amazon Kindle Fire, although it does come with more RAM and more storage.
